Our expectations for shared content
PSFutureMail is a space for reflection and connection. These guidelines help keep it safe and respectful for everyone.
Last updated: March 2026
Why we have guidelines
When you share a letter publicly, it becomes part of a community space. We want that space to be welcoming, thoughtful, and free from harmful content. These guidelines apply to public letters and any content you create or share on PSFutureMail.
Prohibited content
The following types of content are not allowed on PSFutureMail. We will remove content that violates these rules and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly break them.
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content
No pornographic material, sexually explicit imagery or descriptions, or content intended to sexually gratify or solicit. This includes explicit nudity and graphic sexual content.
- Violence, threats, or harm
No content that promotes, glorifies, or threatens violence. No content that encourages self-harm or harm to others. No graphic or gratuitous depictions of violence.
- Hate speech and discrimination
No content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Harassment and bullying
No content that harasses, intimidates, or bullies individuals. No doxxing or sharing of personal information without consent. No content intended to shame or humiliate others.
- Spam, scams, and misleading content
No spam, promotional content, or advertising. No phishing, scams, or fraudulent schemes. No content intended to deceive or mislead.
- Illegal content
No content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity. No content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.
Flagging and removal
Visitors can flag public letters they believe violate these guidelines. When a letter receives a significant number of flags for inappropriate content, we will review it. If we determine it violates our guidelines, we will remove it and may take action against the account.
We may also remove content proactively when we become aware of violations, even without prior flags. We reserve the right to remove any content that we believe violates these guidelines or harms the community, at our discretion.
Consequences
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may:
- Remove the offending content
- Remove the letter from public view while keeping it in your private account
- Send a warning or notice
- Suspend your account temporarily
- Permanently terminate your account
We may report serious violations to law enforcement when appropriate. We do not provide refunds for accounts that are terminated due to guideline violations.
What we encourage
PSFutureMail is built for reflection, growth, and connection. We encourage:
- Honest, thoughtful letters to your future self
- Stories, reflections, and intentions you're willing to share
- Respectful engagement with others' public letters

How to report
If you see a public letter that violates these guidelines, use the flag option on the letter or contact us at hello@psfuturemail.com. Include a link to the letter and a brief description of the concern. We review reports as quickly as we can and will take action when appropriate.
Changes to these guidelines
We may update these guidelines from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of PSFutureMail after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
